Went shopping with CQ and LL at Orchard today before going back to school. I saw so many familiar faces in Orchard! :) Also, I think GSS and school holidays start today… What a combination.
The weather is really a bitch nowadays. There is no other word for it. I am silently cursing the weather every time I step out of a mall or of school… Anyway, meeting with Minz people (I shall call my summer retraining team that) was fun! We walked over to Shaw Tower and had dinner at Ah Loy Thai. We were super lucky today… When we reached, we were at the back of the queue, which seemed quite long from where we stood. Then this waitress came to ask how many people, and J said there were 5 of us. In less than a minute, we got a place! J claims that it’s thanks to his good looks. -.-
Anyway, dinner was yummyyyyy. But we were late for CCA, so we all brisked walk back… I could fill the food moving in my stomach as I walked. JY had to run and eat his ice-cream at the same time. Actually, Shaw Tower has pretty nice food! Ah Loy Thai and Tom’s Palette (which sells salted egg ice-cream!!!). I return next time, with the help of Google Maps. :)
CCA was super chill today. We just listened to the incoming and outgoing exco give their speeches (+ played a few rounds of Scramble under the table) before heading to Ice Cold Beer to chat and stuff. I finally met the legendary Fairy Godmother!!! She looks so young… I think she could easily pass off as a year 2 or 3 student. I sat with Amanda, Prisc, WL, J, and Cheryl and we talked about all sorts of bullshit stuff and other serious stuff. Listening to Prisc and J makes me feel like selling credit cards too. It’s tough but it sounds interesting! Hmm. Oh and WL ordered 4 bottles of Japanese beer for us… I took a few sips from one bottle and it tasted not bad! ^^ Actually’s it’s quite nice to chill out at ICB over drinks and music… The only bad thing is that we have to talk really loudly and sit closer cuz it’s quite hard to hear each other over the music.
